Refund policy

**All customers of Aiken Tack Exchange must agree to our Terms of Service.**

MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS ARE CONSIDERED FINAL SALE
Any item (excluding saddles) that is sold either in-store or online
is considered a Final Sale as a courtesy to our consignors. 

SADDLES UNDER $500.00 ARE CONSIDERED FINAL SALE
Any saddle sold online or in-store for less than $500.00 will be considered a Final Sale as a courtesy to our consignors.

SADDLES RETURNED FROM A SHIPPED TRIAL WILL INCUR FEES
All Shipped Trial Refunds will have the 3% transaction fee and cost of original shipping deducted.

 

Saddles Returns/Refunds

Saddles purchased via "Make An Offer" or otherwise at a discount are not eligible for return. They are a FINAL sale.

If you wish to return an eligible saddle, you must notify Aiken Tack Exchange within the Trial Period of five days. Intent of return and tracking number must be emailed to aikentackexchange@gmail.com by close of business on the fifth trial day. Lack of notification before the end of the Trial Period will indicate final purchase. 

Should an extension of the Trial Period be required due to schedule with fitter, trainer, or a problem with the horse, please notify Aiken Tack Exchange before the end of the Trial Period to discuss extension period.

Customer is responsible for the cost of shipping and insuring the returned saddle. We highly recommend insuring your saddle. All refunds will have the cost of original shipping + the 3% bank transaction fee deducted.

Saddles must be returned to Aiken Tack Exchange in the same condition as shipped to customer. If saddles are returned dirty or in need of conditioning, there will be a minimum $25 cleaning fee. Additional fees may be assessed at Aiken Tack Exchange’s discretion for any and all cosmetic and structural damage. These fees will be deducted from the refund.

Saddles must be shipped back in secure packaging equal to or greater than arrival from Aiken Tack Exchange. This means that saddles must not be bent, compressed, rolled, crushed, etc. Saddles must be wrapped in a clean plastic bag and packaged with sufficient material to prevent the saddle from shifting in transit.

Saddles shipped to an address outside of the United States are considered a final sale and can not be returned for a refund.

ANY RETURN SADDLES CONTAINING PACKING PEANUTS WILL INCUR A $10 DISPOSAL FEE THAT WILL BE DEDUCTED FROM REFUND.


All saddles over $500 include a trial and are eligible for return when purchased at asking price.  

If a saddle needs to be returned after a trial, the applicable refund will be processed after an inspection by our certified saddle fitters is completed. Automated confirmation of the refund will be sent to the email provided at time of purchase. If you are returning a saddle from a local trial, receipts are available upon request, but please keep in mind an inspection must be done by a manager on duty when they are available.



Miscellaneous Items (non-saddles)

All sales final on any item that is not a saddle.  ("Make An Offer" saddle sales are final)


Cancelled Orders

If you cancel your order after it has shipped, please ship the saddle back to us. You will be charged the standard restocking fee of $25.


Sale items

Sale items cannot be refunded. This includes saddles sold via "Make An Offer" and saddles sold as part of a sale.
